Established in 1959 as the Department of Industrial Engineering, the Production Engineering Department at VJTI initially offered a part-time postgraduate diploma in production engineering. Today, it is a hub for multidisciplinary education, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. With strong industry ties through live projects and visiting faculty, the department fosters innovation and practical expertise in manufacturing and industrial engineering.
